Their faces were the same. Their voices, mannerisms, strength of will. Hearts, well...they could be the same, in a way. Their hearts had the same origin, they had started as one, in him and him alone. But those halves had grown apart, grown differently. Would he have made the same choice? ...Probably.
But to her...he wasn't the same. The silences stretched between them, long and awkward and painful, and every time she looked at him or he at her, she only looked confused and lost and so very, very heartbroken.
He will collect her feathers for her, no matter what. Becuse it is the only way he knows how to say "I'm sorry."
